From Boiled Jewels:
“The set started out with a low key, melodic gentle-driving rhythm with elements of prog and built up in intensity and distortion towards the end. At one point David turned to me and said “early Pink Floyd” which had me in stitches but which was also undeniably astute. What stuck out for me was the gorgeous, deep and liquid bass lines, something akin to ‘The Breeders’ or thereabouts – I call it ‘black honey bass’ and it is one of my favorite sounds. At one point one of the members was playing the bass and a drum at the same time which, for an opening band, won me over.”
